Knife fights and gratitude

Thanksgiving Chrysanthemums

Thanksgiving Chrysanthemums
This was the fourth (4th!!!) year in a row that we have hosted Thanksgiving at our house. This is hard to believe for the following reasons:

1. I can’t cook.
2. There are several better qualified relatives in our family who could/should be doing this job.
3. I don’t like people invading my personal space (and I just had 12 people living in my house for the past 5 days.) Werd.
4. “Entertaining” has never been something I aspired to do. Ever.
5. In short, it’s a flipping miracle that I’ve been able to pull this hosting gig off 4 years on a row with no food poisonings, kitchen fires, or knife fights in my living room involving drunk relatives.

And for that friends, I am very, very thankful.

Did you celebrate? If so, how was your day of thanks?
