I took these photos while we were visiting family in Georgia over the holidays. Isn’t Helen a cute little “Alpine” town? We parked three miles away at a trail head, hiked into town, ate lunch at a little country store, and then hiked back. Round trip it was about 6 miles of hiking and the weather was perfect. Cold, but not blistering, with plenty of sunshine and not too much wind. It felt so nice to soak up some cold weather considering that today it is… 76 degrees. I’m afraid we may be skipping winter again this year in the balmy sunshine state.
