Perhaps the entire purpose of this post is to introduce you to the artist who carved the amazing sculpture in the photo above. His name is Scott McGovern and I met him today in Riverside. In his gallery you will find many of his amazing creations–leather and wood work, inspired by fantasy and nature. I especially love his handcrafted journal covers like the one you can see in the bottom right of the photo. They are truly incredible. Each one is a unique piece of art–which I especially appreciate because I’m a writer who carries a personal journal with me every day. The blank book journal refills are standard sizes, so replacements can be purchased at any office supply store, but the artistry of the journal covers are nothing short of magnificent.
